NASA Art Colouring Book - SLJ
This art work was really fun to colour, and it was fun to mix and match them. Here are some fun facts I found out:
What do astronauts eat on the International Space Station?
An astronaut can choose from many different kinds of food. For example, fruit, candy, beef, chicken, seafood, nuts, and brownies. The food they eat has to be vacuum sealed, already cooked, or freeze dried because on the space station, the astronaut crew doesn't have a microwave or stove.

What I Have Learned After Watching A Video About Dinosaurs
I really enjoyed the video lesson on trace fossils, bone fossils, what are dinosaurs, and how paleontologists find dinosaur fossils. I have learnt a lot after watching that video. The quiz was really fun and it was about dinosaurs and a woman called Joan who is a paleontologist. I watched it from the Auckland Museum's website. You can find it here: Auckland Museum's website

Map for Little Koala Lost
This story is about a little koala who is abandoned in the middle of a forest. The little koala tried to find a home with different animals but he kept being rejected. At the end, he found ten koalas who loved him just the way he was and invited him to join them. This google drawing was very fun to make. I hope I can do this again with another story!

Making Rosary Beads
Today at school I made rosary beads using a measured piece of string that was purple, ten yellow wooden beads and three single wooden beads that were ivory, green and red.
First, we had to get the ten beads of one colour and thread them on the plastic string we had. After, we needed to get the two ends of our rosary beads and line them up at the end.
Then we inserted the string through both of the ends of each bead. It was hard at first but the trick was to insert both of the ends of the string into the bead, and once you had done that we had to push on one of the ends into the bead and then do the same with the other end of the string.
After inserting the two other beads, I tied a knot at the bottom and pulled the ends of the string to tighten the knot. Finally, I made a knot at the end of the string while putting two of my fingers to make the hole stay in place while I tied the knot. In the end, our teacher Mrs Deeney put a white sticker for us to draw a cross on one side and our name on the other.
We made rosary beads because October is the month of the rosary. Two years ago, my teacher Mrs Agnew taught us how to pray the rosary and that October is the month of the rosary. Our class made the same rosary beads with the same items. The rosary beads will be very helpful because it will help keep track of the prayers as I go along.

What is the Best Way to Stop Abusive Language Online?
The hard bit of this DLO (digital learning object) was to get the information. Google didn't help that much because it was difficult to understand the words I didn't know. I just had to remember what Mister Bell had said. Luckily, I managed to write four paragraphs. I hope the pictures are attractive but next time, I will write it in a google document(with pictures).

Surveys and Graphing
Today we created graphs to find data about something. Our teacher told us that we could make a graph about anything we wanted. For example, games, song artists and animals. I chose to make a graph about sport. I asked everyone in the classroom which is their favorite sport. We used a site that helped us to make different kinds of graphs.

All About Me Poster 2021
My name is Jamie and I am 10 years old. My favorite TV show is called 'The Daily Life of The Immortal King.' It is an anime. Anime is a cartoon animation but it is not really cartoon-ish. My favorite food is lechon. Lechon is food that is made out of pig and it tastes DELICIOUS!
I am Filipino but I was born in New Zealand. I like playing with any kind of balls with my friends because I can make games by just seeing somebody doing something without anyone even knowing it. I like playing my tablet because I can play with my friends on it.
I love animals and if somebody walks by with an animal and it come to me, I won't hesitate to pet it! I started liking animals when I was in the Philippines my grandma gave me a box of kittens as a surprise and I loved them! When I was eating breakfast in my grandparents house, I was very excited to pet them again but when I finished there were gone. My grandma said it was the neighbors kittens and I was sad. But it was okay.

Google Challenge: Sail boat animation
Google Challenge: Fish drawings
Google Challenge: Fish drawings
My tip for making google drawings are to be creative and to use different shapes for your image.
The thing that I found challenging was combining different shapes to make the fish and the colours. I tried to make the colours realistic to look more like those animals.
The thing I wanted to update was my goldfish. My goldfishes had no mouth so I want to change that next time.

Wednesday 17th 2021 Saint Patrick's Day
Wednesday 17th 2021 Saint Patrick's Day
First, we went under the canopy and had our mass/assembly. We didn’t go to the Church because there was still Covid- 19 level restrictions. After the assembly we first lined up in our houses and Mrs Bullot was calling our names to sort us into new teams. She said the team's name, and then their leader, co leader, and the other people in their team. Mrs Bullot said if you hear the bell ring, (the one with a stick at the top of it.) you have to go to the next game.
After that, my team went to the field to play Mister Bell’s game called Golden Child. He told our team that he was borrowing that Ki O Rahi kit, so we had to be careful not to break it. I showed some of the little people how to play the game, they learned quickly. We had a lot of fun in Mister Bell’s game. We heard the bell ringing, so we walked to the next game.
The next game was Miss Kyle’s one, in the top court. We saw that there were hoops on the metal wires around the court. She showed us that the numbers game and if she said a particular number, we could go and get the basketball to the person who could shoot, our person was Nixcent. We dribbled the ball and passed it to the person who could shoot. That was really fun! Then the bell rang again.
We went to the last three, they were bowling, relays and the three legged race! Those that I mentioned were my favorite games. After that, the teachers had a surprise for us. It was Popsicles! My favorite treat. The team leaders gave each one of us a popsicle. It was very delicious, I licked it very slowly because I haven’t had popsicles for a long time now.
In the afternoon we were tired but we came back to class but we were really happy that each of us got some popsicles.
Our teacher, Mister Bell said that we could have free time.
Mister Bell showed us some new games like, Knuckle bones, Pick up the sticks and Stop the bus. My favorite game was Pick up the sticks because you have to try to pick the black stick up but without moving the other sticks. Saint Patrick’s day was really fun and exciting. Next Patrick’s day will be the best as well!
